The label

The label AMBIVALENZ was founded in Berlin in 2012 by Malte Grieb. AMBIVALENZ specialises in innovative furnishing ideas for flexible, individual and space-saving living and working. Its two current product lines, the Fläpps system and the Curt sofa system, stand for complete flexibility in which nobody has to commit for good. The Fläpps system is minimalist folding furniture, from the wall-mounted secretary desk for the home office to the individually printed folding chair. Furniture that shows its full use when unfolded and disappears flat and unobtrusive against the wall when folded. The Curt sofa system, in turn, is a real eye-catcher in any situation: probably the simplest and at the same time most flexible sofa system in the world needs only a single module shape, a pouf. Connect many of these identical modules with the connection system developed specifically for it and sofas emerge in every conceivable configuration. Especially in times of housing shortage, with tiny houses and other micro-living concepts booming, there is demand for furniture that not only delivers maximum function in minimum space but can also adapt to constantly changing situations in life.
