Ambivalenz Contract

Contract Furniture & Hotel Furnishing

For Hotels, Offices and Public Spaces

A hotel room that feels large although it’s small. A lobby that’s a lounge today and an auditorium tomorrow. An office that can be reconfigured without anyone hunting for an Allen key. Our furniture is made not to commit – and in contract spaces, that’s exactly its greatest advantage.

The Sofa System

Curt in contract use – one sofa, every configuration

Curt is built from one single module shape. For planning, that means: every area can be laid out precisely – and unlike most modular systems, nothing is decided once it’s delivered. Curt is reconfigured in day-to-day operation, without tools. In the hotel room the armchair becomes a daybed, in the lobby it’s a classic sofa, and the lounge landscape in the conference area turns into stool seating for the keynote in minutes.

The Principle

Three ideas make Curt fit for contract use: one single module shape, a tool-free connection, and covers that can be swapped.

One module shapeOne module shape

A block with a square base, half as high as it is long – with 16 concealed connection loops. So simple, so endless.

The strap connectionThe strap connection

An adjustable strap with two hooks; three loops per module side, four on the back. Hook in, tighten – release again tool-free.

Removable coversRemovable covers

Two rectangles shaped into a U, joined by one continuous zip: removable, splittable, combinable, washable.

Fabrics & Details

Four fabric qualities in many colours – and every detail is your choice, right down to the buckle.

Four fabricsFour fabrics

Jet (hard-wearing polyester), Barcelona velvet, Dama (recycled wool) and Sera (wool) – suitable for contract use, flame-retardant finish on request.

Details to your choiceDetails to your choice

Colours of covers, zips, straps and buckles freely selectable – until the sofa belongs to the interior scheme like the wall colour.

Your own fabric welcomeYour own fabric welcome

Preferred fabrics from collections such as Kvadrat, Camira or Gabriel – or your own supplied textile – we work up for a surcharge.

Modules, covers and straps can be reordered individually – a configuration grows with the project.

The Wall System

Fläpps – furniture that stays out of housekeeping’s way

Hotel guests differ: some work at the desk, others with the laptop on the bed. A fold-away secretary bridges the two – there when it’s needed, gone when it isn’t – and gives planners square centimetres back.

Wall desk, shelf, coat rack, mirror: folded shut, the Fläpps folding furniture is a few centimetres flat – guests have room to move, housekeeping a clear run. Depending on mounting height, the same flap can be a breakfast spot, a shelf or a standing desk. Kitchen and table surfaces come in HPL: wipe-clean, everyday-proof. The assembly manual doubles as a drilling template – an argument even across 80 rooms.

Customisation

Bespoke is our standard

Surface, colour, size, shape, motif: with Fläpps almost everything can be adapted to the project – printing starts at a quantity of 1. Folded shut, the piece becomes a wall picture that belongs to the building – as here at St. Bernward Hospital.

Surfaces

Three standard surfaces keep the system calm – everything beyond that follows your project.

HPL-FinishHPL finish

Natural birch or HPL white and black – hard-wearing surfaces with a soft, velvety feel.

Custom coloursCustom colours

All products can also be laminated in custom colours – to match a corporate identity or colour scheme.

Veneer availableVeneer available

Veneered on request, e.g. in real wood – for a presence in classic interiors.

Sizes & Shapes

Fläpps is a modular kit, not a catalogue: size, shape and layout follow the room – not the other way round.

Custom sizesCustom sizes

We adapt the dimensions of existing products to your project.

Custom shapesCustom shapes

Shapes, lines and the number of flaps can be changed to project specifications.

Wall panelsWall panels

We develop wall panels to your requirements – up to 1.5 × 2 m.

Your Motif

Folded shut, Fläpps is a surface – and any surface can be a picture. Printing starts at a quantity of 1.

Art on AMBIVALENZArt on AMBIVALENZ

A collection of motifs by contemporary artists – spanning several modules if you like.

Your designYour design

Digital printing from a quantity of 1 – from a logo to a motif that flows across modules, tuned to the room’s function and the design concept.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the fabrics suitable for contract use?

Yes. The standard range includes durable, contract-grade fabrics; a flame-retardant finish is available on request. Custom fabrics from collections by Kvadrat, Camira or Gabriel can also be used – or a fabric you supply yourself.

Can furniture be printed with your own motif or branding?

Yes, from a quantity of 1 in digital print – from a single motif to a motif that flows across several modules.

Are custom sizes and shapes possible?

Yes. The sizes, shapes and number of flaps of the Fläpps furniture can be adapted to the project; we make wall panels up to 1.5 × 2 m.

What happens if the requirements change?

Curt is reconfigured without tools and can be extended with reordered modules; covers are exchangeable. Fläpps modules can be added to and recombined.

How does a contract enquiry work?

A short message with the project outline (use, area, quantity, timeline) is enough. We get back to you with an assessment and, if you like, with samples.
