IMM 2020: So much more AMBIVALENZ

The art of recreating a space over and over again: AMBIVALENZ definitely masters it. If you were looking for intelligent and space-saving design furniture for maximum flexibility at the imm cologne 2020, you found it at our stand in Hall 2.2. Accordingly, the trade visitors were very interested in the stand designed by the German-Canadian designer Joa Herrenknecht. Numerous design dealers, but also architects, contract professionals and last but not least representatives of the press were immediately convinced by the highly flexible products.

The brand-new Curt sofa system attracted a lot of attention. Developed by AMBIVALENZ and designed by Malte Grieb and Joa Herrenknecht, this innovation is also full of surprising functions. (Click here to see Curt!)

But our Fläpps System has also grown a lot. New are the wall modules in the width of 100 cm, two shelves and the Fläpps Secretary Desk 100×60-1. With a working surface of 90×50 cm a full-grown desk that folds up to free up space when not needed. Also new are three square modules with external dimensions of 80x80cm. They make it even easier to plan entire walls with the Fläpps System and increase the range of possible applications. (see the new Fläpps Products after the click!)

“The fact that we were able to present ourselves for the first time in this renowned environment, with neighbours such as Vitra, is an important milestone for us”, summarises Founder Malte Grieb. “We were able to make many new contacts and see great opportunities for growth in both the contract and retail sectors. With our products at the imm cologne 2020, we have precisely hit the current zeitgeist. In times of space shortage, multifunctional architecture and the desire for more mobility, new ideas are needed in the furnishing sector. That’s what AMBIVALENZ stands for: modern living and working environments require products with maximum flexibility – and that’s where we come in: When in use, our furniture offers full comfort, but when unused it disappears discreetly or transforms into a different piece of furniture.
