The name says it all: the design furniture systems from the Berlin label AMBIVALENZ score with multifunctionality and double the living pleasure. They are perfect for people who enjoy variety and like change. Furniture for life, in other words, because it is always open to new ideas and can take on anything. Their greatest advantage is their ambivalence: they save space and create room, they are always present without pushing themselves to the fore. Or in the words of company founder Malte Grieb: “It’s not the furniture that should define us, but we who define it.”

Contemporary living takes on a whole new energy with the clever and flexible furniture from AMBIVALENZ. Because whether it’s an open-plan layout or a small city apartment, rooms today can have more than just one function. We do our workout in the bedroom, work in the kitchen, transform the living area into a guest room or our kitchen into a pop-up restaurant. 20 modules in four widths and five heights give us great freedom in the smallest of spaces.

The super-flat shelves, tables and chairs of the FLÄPPS FOLDING SYSTEM are ready to go as soon as you need them. When they are not in use, they are virtually invisible. During the week, narrow shelves can be used to store keys, cell phones or shoes in the hallway. At the weekend, they simply thin out. Online shopping, a small snack, a few hours of work: The FLÄPPS wall table can be opened and closed again with one pull of the felt tip.

The bedside table and dressing table fold up in the bedroom and make room for us to roll out our yoga mat. The FLÄPPS folding chair can be unfolded with a flick of the wrist, quickly increasing the size of the sociable table. The rest of the time it is slim and sleek, waiting to be used: either parked behind a door or cupboard. Or, printed with motifs by selected graphic artists, it hangs on the wall like a work of art.

Curtthe new furniture system from Ambivalenz

The range of minimalist all-rounders complements the mobile sofa element CURT. The cuboid cushions can be organized as a stool or side table, daybed or bench, two-seater sofa or creative seating landscape at any time and as desired. The system, designed in collaboration with designer Joa Herrenknecht, is easily connected with adjustable straps and hooks. Each module has 16 hidden connecting loops for this purpose. This makes this seating furniture range extremely adaptable for every situation, the ideal partner for modern nomadic living.

The removable, easy-to-clean covers from CURT offer even more design freedom: 17 colors and various fabrics such as Trevira CS, velvet, wool or recycled wool invite you to mix and match: Thanks to the zipper, the two-part covers can also be combined with each other. Despite the versatility, the high-quality slat base ensures constant and maximum comfort. It consists of a sturdy plywood frame covered with upholstery belts and a three-layer cold foam upholstery.
